Cotton Patch Quilters
Community Quilts Group visits the
Oconee Senior Center, January 2011
Lyndon House Harvest Festival
On Friday, October 24th, 5 members helped to show kids the art of quilting. The day with the students went very well. It was well attended, and they seemed to be truly interested. Quite a few tried their hand at the handquilting and enjoyed observing the sewing machines. There was a "story board" set up and plenty of coloring squares for those who wished to do that.

Cotton Patch Quilters
in the local Schools
On Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 6 guild members spent the morning at Oconee County Elementary School talking to them about the art of quilting. Frances Arnold presented a 30 minute program and then he students moved into their classes to design blocks using construction paper squares and triangles. In all, we talked to 190 kids!!! It is always fun to hear their excitement about this art form and to see their ideas for future designs.
